A huge bug seems to have occurred in the night 31 December to 1 January. Thus, some customers have seen their Orange sms multiplied as appropriate by 10, 20 or even 100. This leads to off packages exceeding 400 €. The director of customer relations Orange, Fabrice André, announced that "The basic cause of SMS and MMS reissue comes from non-operation of an operator's network," without giving the name of the latter. Orange has ensured that this bug does not lead to overcharging.
In the end, there were 930 million text messages sent on the 3 operators.
