Worldwide sales of phones in 2010

IDC has just presented the numbers of global sales of mobile phones. This year 2010 marks several changes compared to the previous year.
Thus, it has sold 1.39 billion of terminals, an increase of 18.5% compared to 2009. Smartphones continue to nibble units face the conventional mobile phones. Among the biggest successes, we must mention Apple's iPhone 4 and the Samsung S Galaxy, two high-end smartphones.

In short, lessons learned:
- Nokia remains number 1 in the world, but its sales are increasing its market share falling to 32.6%. - LG is No. 3 worldwide, but as Nokia's market share drop to 8.4%
- Samsung is number 2 worldwide, increasing its market share to 20.2%
- Apple enters the top 5 in excess RIM (Blackberry) for last place with 3.4%
- Surprise! Chinese ZTE, took 4th place with a market share of 3.7% (3G + USB key focus included)
- Motorola and Sony Ericsson is still outside the top 5
